The original structure on this property was built between 1916 and 1925. The property is part of the W. H. Craig land (a.k.a. Craig Development, a.k.a. Craige Lands), as Lot 3 when the property was first subdivided.

From December 1976 to 1989 it was the home of The Sun Magazine. In the mid-1990s, it was known as the "Yellow House," home to the recording studio Yellow Recording (run by Bryon Settle and Mike Beard), which was also used as a practice space for local bands.

In 1997 and/or 1998, the building was demolished to make way for the new Mama Dip's restaurant building and parking lot.
